Lectures

The Missouri Institute of Natural Science offers a variety of lectures at the Museum for children age 9 and older, as well as adults.  Admission is free to the public, except when noted otherwise.  These lectures offer insight and information into a wide range of natural history subjects, and are tailored to the interest level of the audience.  Lectures in the recent past have covered Riverbluff Cave (probably the oldest Ice Age cave in North America, and located behind the Museum), caving, paleontology, fossils and fossil dating.  If you would like to suggest a topic for a lecture, please let us know.  We also offer lectures to groups of students, homeschoolers or members of the public ages 9 or older on natural science subjects.  These lectures can be included as part of the field trip to the Museum.  Call the Museum at 417-883-0594 and ask us to schedule a lecture for your group of 10 or more!
